Krystina Isaac

I am a diverse fiber artist, but this submission relates to my love of crochet amigurumi. I crochet plush stuffed animals using bulky chenille yarn and a size 8.00 mm hook. I am currently working on a collection of original patterns inspired by my life in Arizona that will distinguish me from other amigurumi artists. This quail is iconic in Arizona and can be seen throughout the state. It's adorable top hat and ground dwelling scuttle are immediately familiar to those of us in arizona. Everyone has a strong opinion about javelinas, whether good or bad, what's yours? When people see my work I wanted to evoke nostalgia of their grand vacations and to inspire new community of Arizona enthusiasts.
