As a retired math teacher, I like the geometric patterns in traditional quilts. My abstract designs also have geometric structure. I do not improvise when I construct a quilt. I enjoy the planning phase and looking at beautiful fabrics. In recent years I expanded my fabric choices by adding neckties and repurposed materials to my stash. I always try to find interesting machine quilting lines in harmony with the design.
