Mary Kay Fosnacht

As a fiber artist, I enjoy creating stories with cloth in both abstract and representational ways. Abstraction pushes me to capture the essence of a theme to tell a story with color and composition, but I also like the challenge of recreating photos or other representational themes. Working mainly with commercial cotton fabrics, I use a combination of traditional piecing methods and appliqué. I love bright, solid colors, bold graphic design, and the use of negative space.
