Lisa Takata

Lisa is a fourth generation Japanese American whose extended family farmed in Central California for 75 years.  While living in Arizona, Lisa volunteered for seven summers for the Navajo wool buy, a valuable opportunity to learn firsthand about Navajo culture and sheepherding traditions.  She continues to buy raw fiber directly from local sheep herding families and processes it herself before spinning and weaving it in her projects.
